I just added bluetooth to my stock stereo for pretty cheap!

1) find a BlackBerry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway on E-Bay
2) find a KENWOOD 13-PIN ROUND C-BUS PLUG TO RCA AUDIO JACKS (CA-C1AUX) on E-bay
3) widen the drain hole in your glove compartment.
4) plug 13 pin into stero and power adapter into cigarette lighter.
5) enjoy a cold beer with Walter and The Dude.

Gotta get yourself a retractable car cord to get rid of some of that extra charger cable. maybe add a second lighter so you can charge your phone with out losing power to your bluetooth.

version 2 of the install will move all of this out of the glovebox.

i just need to find a way to tie into the power source of the cigarette lighter behind the glove box to power the unit.

does anyone know of a way of splitting the power behind the adapter easily?

One way you could do it is use these

Not sure how well it would hold up on the water. Alot of people don't like these. But if you don't know how to solder they do work and are easy to do. They may make them where they are waterproof or something. Love the idea tho. What is the range of the device?

spyder,

Forgive my ignorance but does this then allow you to play music from your iPhone/iPod wirelessly thru your stereo? How is the sound quality compared to using an aux audio cable?

Thanks,

Al

Also, my Kenwood deck has an aux input and a USB port so can I just plug this device into my aux in jack and then run a cable to the USB for power?
