I like pic 3 the best, looks like its curling a little too. The other too look a little foamy. 9.5mph is a bit slow, hows she look at 10.5 or 11mph?

I'm not deleting it. It's always nice to look at any type of wave.

For a second I thought the LSD flashbacks they said was gonna happen, was actually starting to happen.

Hahahaha!!

Now thats funny!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you have upgraded both your rears to the 750's. Something you may want to try that I have done if you already haven't done so, take the other 750 from the other side (again assuming you have the quick disconnect) and place it on or near the back corner. Then take your 400 and place it in the bow of the boat. Should be a very large wake.

I usually have people in the boat as well. i was just running a test with 1550 in ballst and a 200 lb driver. i will add people up front. don't want it to get to low and catch a roller over the side and sink the boat....:-(

i have the lower freeboard board in the obv 07

You have all the ballast you need for an OBV. You'll have to mess with the plate a bit and distribute your passengers around but it looks like you are going to be VERY HAPPY with this surf wake. Congrats! :)

Lookin good jmvotto. I have the same boat and setup other than that I have the intgrated bow sac which has really lengthened the pocket. Also, try speeding up to 10.3 - 10.5 mph with the wake plate all the way up.

I agree with bumping up the speed. My wave doesn't really start looking good until the 10.5 - 10.7 mph range.

I also run about 500 lbs more than you are, and it creates a great wave.

I'll be out tonight after work so will try to take some pictures. Will have a boat load of people so it should be an awesome wave!

your running 500 more, where are you putting the extra weight, ?
i have 750 in the rear 400 on the seat and 400 in the locker, i have an extra 400 bag i can toos up front.... just seem like a lot

When it's just me and another guy, I have 750 in the locker (probably gets 90% full), 540 on the seat, 250 on the ground next to the seat, ski locker full, and another 250 on top of the ski locker. Usually run the wakeplate at 50%, and around 10.5 - 10.7 mph. That seems to be what works for my boat. The wave is pretty tall, and it's a fairly long pocket.

csm, you running the standard prop. i always feel the moomba cruise is sluggish getting back up to speed, where if i manual throttle it it is pretty responsive.
i have the 13.7 by 17.5 prop

kaneboats
07-29-2010, 11:39 AM
You may not need to go quite as fast with that prop. It will throw a very clean wave for you. (Also, speeds people post are not always that accurate- better to test your own setup and watch the wave.)

yeah thats what i was doing the other day on my lunch hours...:p playing with the wake and added the bag in it place of two to thre people

I do have the same standard prop, but I'm considering upgrading, more for wakeboarding than for surfing. It's actually fine for surfing. I don't use Moomba Cruise, I use Perfect Pass, so the throttling is manual for me anyway until I get up to speed.

Alright, here are some pictures from last night. This is with 1 female driver (100lbs maybe) and three guys with an average weight of about 200lbs each, rear 750 locker, 400lbs center locker and the Intergrated Bow Sac. Speed is set at 10.3mph on Perfect Pass and the wake plate all the way up. One of our other friends bailed on us so this isn't the biggest wake I have ever made but still pretty good.

This is my buddy Ryan:

Looks great. And the fact that your riding a little ways back is sign of a solid wave!

I only have the GI system so only my center locker is plumbed in at the moment. I fill both my rear locker and the IBS with an external Tsunami pump. A little more time consuming but I am not ready to plumb them in yet. I have a lot more reading to do on this BB before I even attempt it.

I think that's about as far back as you're gonna get unless you want to hold on to a rope?

Really nice wave. I wish my lake water was that color.

How much weight does your bow sack hold?

Canuckle Head

Six Hundred and Fifty Pounds

Six Hundred and Fifty Pounds

which sac is it?

it looks like you runn on a narrow lake or river. with that weight up front do you catch many rollers over the front.

we have a larger lake 22 mile long ans 1 to 2 mile wide so we get a fair amount of traffic..

I am going to look at putting more weight up front in the LSV. That is a great wave.

This one:

I run on a few different lakes. Some of them being very large and some being small. The smaller one actually has way more traffic on it than the larger ones. I haven't had an issue with waves coming over the bow. I think you're talking about when you're at a standstill, correct? Well, if you got a set coming you have a couple of choices. 1) Turn 45 degrees/sideways to them or 2) hit the throttle to get the nose up and plow through em. Sometimes it means leaving the person in the water behind but I think that's a much better scenario than soaking the boat.

Nice to see someone putting in some serious weight in a small wakeboat. And people wonder why I put 2500-3000 pounds in my XLV that is 3ft longer and wider.

Th bigger the boat the more weight you need. :p

YDM , you have any comments on the IS squirt yet, you spend any time on it?

I surfed it one full day so far. It's a fun board with lots of potential for me being a beginner. Easy to stay in the pocket, pretty fast (not as fast as my Shred Stixx but not slow either), loose but not too loose (this is with twin fins). My buddy who is 240lbs can even free ride it. The ladies on the boat like it alot better than the Ronix Cortez but it's 5'4"
