once you try it you will never go back. I found that after going back to even a low stretch rope it was throwing me off when I was trying to do spins in the air as I was being pulled forward too much.
you can get an airhead spectra line and handle for like $80 cdn.

Spectra 1/8" rope (sheathed) is the gold standard. Once you use it, you'll realise that all lesser materials were a complete waste of your money and riding time.
I started with an unsheathed Spectra rope, which was great for being extremely lightweight. However, it suffered wear and was prone to tangling. On my boat, we now carry a regular 75' sheathed Spectra rope, plus another one with a deep-V for beginners on the hydrofoil. The beginner rope can be switched to the other handle in a pinch, in case anything happens to the main rope.
Also, if you have been using lesser ropes, you have probably also been using substandard handles. I went through many hardware-store poly ropes with handles that wouldn't float after a couple of hours of use. If you have a handle that does not reliably float, most Spectra rope/handle packages have a good handle.

These ropes are pretty good and a decent price. I had this same rope until it ended up wrapped around the prop...

I have a rope from bullet lines, spectra covered. It is great, has no strech and never tangles, I would never never ever go back those poly shit ropes again. I have had mine for like 5 years and still looks and feels new.
