I am new to wakesurfing. Factory ballast system is not enough (Gravity 3) so I am installing 1100# bag today to help get us surfing. I did not intend to fill bag full due to size limitation and now I am reading that people are bending their motor walls with bigger bags so will be very cautious.
I am wondering what other people with same boat size/draft are using to surf with? What is your setup?
Any help would be useful. Thanks.

Pretty sure most run the 750 and it doesn't get quite full.

1100 is way too big for a 2004 lsv, get the 750 it will fill 90%

How do 750's fit in a 2009 OBV? Any mod's needed?

Nice pic. Thanks. I installed the 1100 today as it was already purchased. I filled it about 60% and had enough. Kept dipping nose in water (5'6" Ronix) for starting but we will get better. What boards are you using?

I started with a Phase5 Oogle, switched to Inland surfer 4-skim later the same summer, finaly ended with a Drew Danielo for maximum nervousness

Is it the Ronix Cortez or the older black Ronix surfboard? If it's the Cortez...that board flat out sucks and I'm speaking from experience. I'm using a Shred Stixx Thresher, Triple X 58" Composite (skim style), and Inland Surfer Squirt. I have a different boat though...08 XLV using about 2,500-3,000lbs of surf ballast depending on crew size.

Ahh crap. Ronix Cortez. It is black too! I will take it back then. Thanks. Have heard good things about Shred Stixx. Will look for one.

Shred stixx make good surf boards, specialy since they signed up Dominic Lagacé as their main pro rider (Which is a good friend of mine)

How do you like the squirt?

There's a guy on Wakeworld with 3 different Shred Stixx for sale super cheap and either new in box or barely used.

Only rode it once since I just got it. It's fun, keeps up with the wake easy. It's not a loose as my Shred Stixx but that's what I was looking for. I'm sure it's going to be a pretty good beginner board for a medium/large wake.
