Wake plate adjustments

After getting my boay back from some cosmetic gel coat repairs, I noticed that the wakeplate does not go down as far as it used to resulting in a noticeable difference in ride. Is there a way to adjust the end points of the wakeplate? or do I need to take it in to a dealer?

BTW.. the wakeplate had to be removed and re-installed for thee repair work.

I came across another discussion recommending the proper travel should be as follows;

Lowest position = 1" below bottom of hull
highest position = 3" above bottom of hull

Does this sound right?
