Back from Lake Barkley- had a blast. Had great though HOT weather with the exception of a few storms. The place we rented was great- 4 BR with a hot tub overlooking the lake a and the boat lift was a perfect fit for the Moomba. We were able to always find a good clear and calm place to ski though after it rained we had to drive though some pretty muddy water and avoid floating trees to do it. We had lots of firsts
- first vapor lock thanks to 90 degree weather and some cheap gas; big shout out to the Moomba forum for helping me fix this quickly with the old cold water on the fuel pump trick. I'm pretty sure I heard my wife say something about me being sexy when I fix the engine lol
-first time I had the OBV on a lift- man that was great to say "wanna ski?" and be on the water 10 min later.
- first time both my boys (ages 3 and 4) would jump off the swim platform without me catching them and swim around on their own (life vests on of course)
-first time I felt a few good off side turns- I had a few times where it really felt like the ski came around great
-longest free ride on the CWB ride
-first time for me driving a boat where there are channel markers
- hit the century mark on the hour meter in less than a year
-first time I heard my wife say "these coolies actually do serve a function!"
so glad we didn't wait any longer to buy a boat.

many picture to follow when I get them loaded!

skiyaker, how did the Evolution cover work for you?

that's right- forgot to mention the evolution cover- it worked great- exactly what I had hoped for. It rained on our trip down so I loaded up suitcases and stuff I didn't want to get wet in the boat then pulled it with the cover on. No issues towing at interstate speeds. I'm not sure whether it improved gas mileage because I had so much stuff weighting down the truck and boat. The first night we stopped at a hotel just south of louisville that had an indoor waterpark- here's a pic of the boat/truck parked just outside of our room. It was kind of funny- the manager at first suggested I park the rig across the street and I said "uh no how about right outside the room so I can keep an eye on it" this was the view from my hotel window!
