well, weather was crap around here for the memorial day weekend, and the one nice day that we did have saw the lake full of the noobs and lots of cops checking them out, so it was for the best to stay away. did make it across the state, and while on the way, stopped at stanley lake up outside of stanley idaho and took these shots. Stanley has the distinction of being the coldest spot in the lower 48 a dozen times a year or so. town has a couple hundred full time residents..
this lake is beautiful, but too cold year round to do any real recreating, known more for fishing. this day had one pontoon on the whole lake and empty campsites.. it's fed by mountain snow thru most of june and the first of july....

enjoy..

sandm - Nice pictures. Mountains are just beautiful, even in late May when covered with snow. I can imagine that the lake would never warm up being that high and close to its source of melting snow. Hope you can get on the water soon at your lake. - Deerfield

Nice pictures.

I was able to attend the 51st Master of Waterskiing at Callaway Gardens last weekend. It was a great venue with great water action. It is amazing to see the pros jump 220+ feet, slalom into 41' off, and trick at a dizzy rate. The Masters are sponsored by Nautique, and that 200 seems to be a great boat for a small wake. The pro wakeboarders were there as well as a pro demo for wake skate.

Andy Mapple (50) and Bob Lapoint (45) did a head to head demo, with Lapoint running his PB of 1/2 at 41 and Mapple got 2 1/2 at 41. Got to talk to Andy Mapple, Wade Cox, Jamie Bueshemie (sp), and Marcus Brown a little during the days.

I highly recommend a stop to watch if you are close enough.
