Where are the spedo wheels on a 04 OB?

The boat is in the water and I have limited diving skills. Does anyone know where the spedo comes through the hull on a 04 OB?

Thanks Ed, can you be more specific. I pulled the engine cover off but can't locate. I can see the water intake and release but not the spedo pick-ups. Can you tell me if its forward of the drive or near the engine? Picture possible?

Okay, found the paddlewheel and the hook-up to a harness. They were in the water in the bottom of the boat. The spedo is new so I hope there's no problem there, Would it matter that the harness plug was submerged? The rubber was a little pulled out, I pushed it back in.... and tucked in up into a dry spot - going to zip tie it to up this weekend.
