Calendar says it is June in two days.
Summer Solstice in less than a month.
Yet there's snow on my deck and my boat's still in storage.
What a brutal Spring.
Was it the volcano that set things out of balance?

That is crazy! We have been in Northern WI this weekend boating and the water was comfortable. In the past ice has not even come off some lakes until the first week of May!

We are having the best summer in memory this year..good luck!

Historically in the Pacific Northwest the weather isn't very good on a consistent basis until July. That is why I do all of my summer traveling in June because anywhere else is better than here. By contrast, there is no better place from July through mid-September as we have right here. It's in the 90's and 100's and no rain and that happens every year. I take every other week off in July and August.

I live in Sylvan and we've been boarding about 8 times this year so far and 3 times on the Red Deer River (behind a quad, see the video for explanation: http://www.vimeo.com/7637658 ).

The Key is a Dry Suit and taking advantage of any day over 12 degrees that's calm!

Dude I feel ya, but as was mentioned here in WI it has been just awsum the last couple weeks. This weekend in the 90's and trunking it is mandatory to get out of the heat and hummidity. Only bummer is the wife won't let me turn on the AC at the lake house :(

A trip to Best Buy and a couple of window units. Plug and play. Then you can get back to the fun.

Ma Nature has put her boots to good plans, which was to get the boat out of storage tomorrow and up to the lake. Had been watching the forecast and it was good. Swung a 180. Rain all weekend. Anybody know of a good indoor summer sport?

Well I agree the the weather in my area sucks for boating. Only been out once to water test and water was 57 degrees with air at 62 degrees. Not necessarily ski/wakeboard/surf weather. Windy too.

However,
All this rain and cold weather and my itch to get going I've been working non-stop on the boat. I've been doing all the upgrades I had on my list and then some. Now I'm tweeking my ballast and adding little odds/ends. I might have everything done by the time I hit the water. Boat and trailer are serviced - MAN, i can't beleive all I have done so far.

I'll be posting up a thread on before and after photos of all soon :)

Supposed to rain all weekend, got up this morning at 6 am water was glass and weather ok. Da Boys picked me up at my dock at 6:30 and we pounded it hard until 8:30. Did some hardwood in the house and then a buddy came over, been raining ever since, into our second case of beer, not a bad saturday afternoon :D

We have had T-storms for about 15 days in a row now. I don't like being out in the lightning with a metal tower sticking up in the air.

Things are looking up! Next weekend we have a houseboat at LBC and its supposed to be in the upper 70's! Now... how do I stop this bleeding!
Local weather said if we don't have a day over 85 before the 15th of this month it will be the wettest June on record.

Still nothing but 60-70's and rain in the long range forecast for us. And this is supposed to be the dry part of Washington. I'm not usually jealous of the weather in other parts of the country...

I'm so glad you guys are starting to see a break in the weather pattern. I still need help with the rollers on the surfboard too. Wipe me out almost every time.

Balance Grasshopper, must learn balance :)

Going on about 4.5 inches of rain in the last 4 days. Managing to sneak out here and there, gotta love a lake house. The weather today 56, supposed to be high 80's by friday and just wicked hummidity. Better stock up on beer :D
