Hi,
I'm going to make some storage racks for our boathouse to hold our wakeboards. I was just wondering if anyone else had made storage racks for their boathouse or garage and how they turned out.
Thanks

I made racks using metal shelving brackets and covered them with foam pipe wrap. Not fancy but they work great and didn't cost much.

A friend of mine took two 8' long 2x12's and cut "U" shaped grooves into them at an angle. It turned out great and it was a cheap and very effective storage system.

We took two 10 foot 2 x 6s and attached them to the studs in the garage wall with screws. The two 2 x 6s were attached parallel to each other, from the floor up. They were spaced approx. 2 feet apart. Then, we used some vinyl coated ladder hooks that screwed into the 2 x 6s. The hooks are standard items we picked up at Home Depot. They are approx. 9 inches long and are hooked up at the ends. The boards sit angled outward and are very secure. Looks great and pretty inexpensive. We have other hooks for my wife's water skis. In all, the rack right now holds the skis, 3 wakeboards and a wakeskate and there is room for another board if necessary.
