Anybody have anything good planned (besides tiling your house) for the holiday weekend?

Gas news: (excerpted from AP story today) . . . Retail gasoline prices fell again Monday as this month's big drop in oil prices continues to work its way to the pump.

The national average pump price fell 0.8 cents to $2.793 per gallon, according to AAA, Wright Express and Oil Price Information Service. That's down nearly 14 cents from the May 6 price of $2.93. Prices have dropped below $2.50 per gallon in some areas.

Gas prices are 37.5 cents higher than a year ago, but the gap is narrowing quickly.

Im heading to my ranch in Westcliffe, CO. Do some horse back riding. Staying as far away from the lake as I can. Seems like memorial day bring out all the idiot boaters.. Be safe out there.

I agree, our boat will have to sit in the lift unless we go out real early one day. Nope we are loading up the kayaks and are going to find a nice, narrow, cypress and alligator creek to explore.

I pulled our boat off our lake and dragged it home this morning. We'll be heading to my folks house on Chapman Lake in Warsaw, IN this weekend. Ski early and late and I'll be dragging those darn inflatables around during the craziness of the day. Might head over to Bart's to see if they've got a sale going and pick up a surf board.

Going to take my chances with the amateurs :) Heading to Lake Billy Chinook, have a couple of cabins rented, sis-in-law and her kids coming up from TX to join us. Calling for wet weather, high in the 60's, low in the upper 30's. Yippee. Might be a good weekend to take up fishing. From the shore of course :)

IF we get on the water, it'll be early or late with probably just the tube and food. Might let the kids throw a fishing pole in. Otherwise alot of BBQ outside. 80's and sunny in Ohio (warmer than usual)

Yep, that's the one! It get's busier each year as people from the cities travel farther and farther north to "escape." But it's a big enough chain and far enough north that it's still a quiet getaway.

Getting ready to head out to Lake Billy Chinook for the long weekend, have a couple of cabins with our names on it :) My new Grind Water Shaka wakesurf board is on the UPS truck and will be delivered today. We are going to give him until 4 to show up with the new board, otherwise, we are leaving without it.

Cover is from a 2008 LSV - thanks Stacy! Fits great. Still need to go get some pipe insulation to put around the straps before we head out.

Rain and more rain for the Northwest. I feel sorry for those who had big plans for the weekend but then it has been many years since we seen a decent Memorial Day weekend. I plan my trips to the midwest in June just because we have better days in April. Starting around the 4th of July we won't see rain for almost three months. Excellent dirt biking though if that is any consolation.
