Wakesurf boards?

I'm looking at getting a new wakesurf board and just wondering what kinda board people liked?

started on a broadcast 5'4. good beginner.
bought an inland surfer 4-skim that is slick as heck.. real easy to spin on it. still have it.
now riding a drew daniello pro and like it as well, but it's a little slower than the 4-skim.

I love my phase 5 oogle. Doesn't seem to work real well for my heavier friends (who are 225-260lbs).

right now we are riding the o'brien wakesurfer. its just a big foam board that we got real cheap and something just to start out on.

Take a look at the Ronix boards large selection from begin to expert and prices are not too bad. We have the Koal.

It really depends on your size and what you want the board to do. We have the inland surfer blue lake and it is a really good board. Everyone can use it.

right now we are riding the o'brien wakesurfer. its just a big foam board that we got real cheap and something just to start out on.

We have the Obrien Jimmy Jam foam surf board for the kids. Also grabbed a HL broadcast as a beginner low cost option around 299. the Blue lake is definitely fun, break out the Wallet though.:eek:

We have a React Drive 4'-6" for our advanced board (reactsurf.com, small local co. that makes hand shaped, hand painted boards), a CWB Ride 5'-3" as our large learner board, and a Hyperlite Broadcast 4'-9" as the small learner board. I highly recommend the React boards.

a few questions:

Do you want one board that all can ride? or one that will be perfect for you?

How much do you weigh?

How would you classify the size of the wave you are riding? or What boat? How is it normally weighted?

We are entering our 3rd season wakesurfing and everyone has gravitated to getting their own perfect fit board...

we started on a landlock (still great to have teaching a newbie)

- Inland Surfer Red Woodey (for my 250lb bro in law)
- Inland Surfer Carbon Loogey (for my light and agile wife)
- Just got a Inland Surfer Swallow (agressive new version of the blue lake) for myself (215lbs)
- phase 5 SCAMP for the groms... (50 - 90 pounders)

I started out on the Hyperlite Broadcast which is a good beginner board but it gets kind of old as you progress into intermediate. It's very stable but you can't do much else than ride a straight line.

I just tried out my new Ronix Caption 4'8" last Friday and it is easily the nicest board I have ridden over the past year and a half since I started wake surfing. It's the swallow tail design. Input and control is amazing. My buddy did a surface 360 on the board his first time on it. I simply love that board!
