I have to sell my boat, mostly because I have a young daughter and another on the way. Boat will probablny collect dust so Im selling it. Im wondering what to sell it for. Its an 08 Mobius LSV, CC, wake plate, Gravity 3 ballast, 325 Indmar, 9 speaker stereo (2 amps and sub), snap on boat cover, board racks, dual batteries, only 87 hours, very clean and well maintaind, dual axle trailer, swing away tongue.

Listed it at $33,500 but I am negotiable (willing to take 30k). Most people contacting me say its appraising at 26k-27k and are not willing to pay much more. I priced it based on other ones listed on boat trader but there arent many listed to compare with.

What do you think? Am I expecting more than I can get? Or should I be more patient. I live in Nor Cal.

Well most people are either wrong or conning you for a better deal. Based off of what NADA has available to price as accessories you listed, it's worth between $26,685 and $30,605. I would say with those hours and additional stereo components $28 - 30K is reasonable even in this economy. Don't get discouraged, just like with cars there's people always trying to scam you for a better boat deal.

your going to get some tire kickers, some phone callers, some who just want to chat about it, and then the buyer will will call.

Patience and price is key when selling

I say keep the boat! Kids love boats! My two year old loves it, and he is easy to keep an eye on in the boat, LOL. Just my opinion.

Although, I agree, now is the time to sell. Good luck.

I have no experience dealing in boats- so I'm speaking only as a boater who has been through the purchasing process last year- but 30k sounds reasonable to me for a boat like that loaded and ready to go. I guess it depends on how quickly you need to sell; 26/27 k sounds like somebody wanting to turn it around for 30k

I agree! I've had a boat continuously since I graduated college a single person and am now married with two kids, age 13 and 5. We've boated every year, even when my kids were infants and they both love the water and being on the boat.

Check out the pic below. Took me a little while to find it. This was in our old stern drive on Elkhead reservoir in CO, out by Steamboat, back when my now 13 year old son was about 10 months old (this is the same son who is surfing in the video that I posted in the waksurfing section). CO is one of those states where you must have a spotter and a driver in the boat to ski/board so I took my son's car seat and strapped it to the boat seat and handed him the flag. Bless her heart, my wife was and still is always willing to go out even though she is not big into watersports. Check out the vintage Hyperlite HO wakeboard on the floor of the boat!

That is an awesome pic, thanks for sharing it. Well, if I cant get what I want for it, Im keeping it, which is a good position to be in. When Ive been out there dewinterizing it I keep asking myself why Im selling it. Tough decision to make. We'll see what happens.

I found a like new LSV last year that a friend ended up buying. It was a 2008 with 40ish hours and got it for $29k. I think he got a really good deal but based on that I'd say yours should be between $28k-$30k. Good luck and be patient. I agree with keeping it. I too have a 21month old and a 5 year old and they both enjoy boating.
