I live in the world of abbreviations so it is all good for me. The best one I know of is RIF = Redneck induced failure.

RIF, thats funny!

I also like PWI, Posting While Intoxicated.
Which I have never done... wait... yes I have.

Since we are trying to identify problems easier, I think that one should preface any post with pwi anytime they are posting in that capacity.
It may help solve problems as well.:p

cab - I absolutely agree with you that it would be nice to have the information in the signature or similar field. However, some of those who read and contribute to this forum do not own a boat. They are welcome and we don't want them disenfranchsied. Making it a required field would in my opinion be difficult and wrong to implement. - Deerfield

Deerfield,

I thought about that too and agree with you. My thought is to provide a box they could check that says something like, "Not a Moomba owner - yet!" or something similar that let's them know that they are still welcome to sign up.

Hey, there's nothing embarassing about owning an older boat. I kept my last one 15 yrs and will probably keep this one at least that long.

When I first got on here and all the talk was about ballast (my only ballast was the kids) and warranty issues and stuff I felt a little put out. It took a while to learn that we love ALL Moombas from old Boomerangs and Kangas-- did I say "OLD" when I mean "CLASSIC"? all the way to the newest Outbacks, LSV's, XLV's etc. If you are a Moomba owner or in the market for one you have every right to be proud of whatever it is.

Cab you are correct the adding of model and year helps understand questions and helps us to understand where the owner is coming from. I also agree there should be a box like "still dreaming" or "I wish". :D

However the fact of the matter is that this is something that would have to be added by someone above our pay scale as it were. For now maybe we can add a sticky on top of the general section suggesting this and explaining how to do it.
