So I just got my boat out from storage and the battery was dead. This is my first boat and I did not pull the battery or put it on a charger so DEAD! The problem is when I hook my battery charger up and it kicks on there is so kind of loud alarm sound that is coming from under the dash I can not find excactly where it is coming from and I am afraid to let it go too long as it might be tearing something up. Any help?

Thanks,

Kevin

OK, it is an alarm of some kind. Did these boats come with an alarm? How do I get it to stop going off? It disables everything in the boat the engine the lights the stereo everything! If I turn the key one notch it goes off if I bump something hard it goes off I just want to turn it off. I have had a few beers and after a few more if it keeps going off I am going to start riping wires out! HELP PLEASE!!!

First thing is to pull the battery! Place it somewhere and put a charger on it and leave it until charged, then put it back.

The battery is charged now and the alarm will just go off if I do anything with the key or bump it hard. Any advice?

Car alarm! It gets bumped it gives you a warning beep beep beep if it gets bumped again it goes off. That part is great. The part that is bad is that if I turn the key on it goes off automaticlly.

No Fab. I flip the breaker for main power the damn thing keeps going off. I did find a fuse and pulled it and it quit but I wonder if something else is on that fuse or not. Do a lot of boats have car type alarms?

Yeah, I think it would be cool if it works. I looked all over for a hidden switch I know there has to be one but can not find it. The boat goes to the BU dealer tomorrow to get the 100 hr service done and so other things I will ask them to take a look.

As a lesson learned I would have pulled the battery before charging it. I hope you find the problem, a loud car alarm horn can kind or wreck a day on the lake :)

I sense a major Stereo upgrade in your future! You'll need it to drown out the ringing of the alarm :D

Gotta love the Sea deck pads, won't own another ski boat without one.
