Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone has put the 750 lb bags in the rear compartments. I just want to make sure they fit before I buy them. Thanks.

OH yeah watch the metal hinge on the v drive door I put a towel between it and the bag

The only problem I had was my solonid was allowing water to back flow out the empty side so.... hehehehehe my wine o girlfriend put a cork in it and no more back flowing

Thats funny, ingenious but funny:p

I could see that happening though on the shallower OBV.

Fly High 750 fits perfectly in the rear comparments. I also have a 2007 OBV, and I have one in each side for surfing.

Do you fill both at once for surfing? Or fill just surf side?

Only 1 at a time for surfing, but I've got regular and goofy surfers in my crew, so it's faster to have 2 than empty the bag and move it to the other side. I can switch sides in about 12 minutes.

I fill them up about half to wakeboard, but I forget to check them and it's tough to get them both the same, and at the right level on the first try. I'm thinking about getting a pair of the smaller ones for wakeboarding, so I can just fill and forget. Both 750's full is too much weight in the back for wakeboarding.

I like her already. I told you that you are always welcome around here-- that includes her. BTW, doesn't sound like you're getting rid of the boat now?

They haven't been the best in the past but thats gonna change gas isnt free, but them staying home doing nothing is. They're gonna have to make that decision on what they're gonna do pay or stay

I had to crack down on that last summer, I had a couple of guys who would show up, drink my beer, ride my boards, and leave with not a thank you but a "call us next time you go out". I give people three chances, after that I just don't invite them again.

Funny thing is one of the guys lives 1/2 mile from the ramp I use, and he sees us go by his house with the boat all the time LOL. If the next time I go by he's sitting on the curb with a gas can and a case of Tecate I'll pick him up, but he's not getting another invite.

Been there before. Our friends are about half and half, a few grew up on the water with me, so they get it.

I tell people two things, depending on who. My two lines are:

"My boat runs on gas, not on Thanks" or "Gas, grass, or ass. I'm married and don't smoke so that leaves you one choice"

80% of the time, it works everytime. :)

How about-- "Sounds great-- meet me at the gas station and you can help me gas up and stuff."

Haha I have actually considered picking them up, and THEN going to gas the boat, and just get out and stand there staring at the gas pump until someone says something.

I'll never forget the day my brother jumped out and beat me to the pump and swiped his card.

I do have one buddy that is good at paying up, but I think he uses more than anyone he likes to surf for days :D

you guys think the 750's are necessary for wakeboarding. we do surf, just curious.

750s are too much for wakeboarding. You just can't get enough weight up front to get the wake right unless you want to run SLAMMED. Like up to the rub rail slammed. :)

Full 750's are too much weight in the rear, mine(07 OBV) bounces with that much weight at wakeboard speeds. I'm not good enough at wakeboarding yet to need that much weight anyway.

I did ride with them full one day when I had 8 people on the boat, and was able put them all in the front to stop the bouncing. The wake was HUGE! Once I get good enough I'll add a bow sack to be able to ride with them all full.

we have wakeboarded with the rear 750 full

my buddy has the fly high bow filler sack we filled that to even out having so much rear weight

so we had the 1000 in bow full the stock front 400 stock rear 400 rear 750 and 250 on top of rear 400 sack.... holy crap huge wakeboard wake at 20 mph
2800 lbs of ballast plus 2 225 lb guys 3250 total weight :) maybe over weighted

Dang. I shudder to think how much fuel you burned that day! Was the wake clean at 20mph?

I’ve got a 05 LSV and think it’s a similar hull as the newer OBV “someone correct me if I’m wrong” and I wakeboard with the 750s about 90 to 95% full every time. I use my two older bags upfront one in the floor from the walk thru up and one lying across it on the front seats so yes it is possible to fill the 750s for wakeboarding with some weight upfront and yes its huge. It took a little dialing in to get it right but it rides perfectly now, no proposing or anything and with the OJ wakeboarding prop it still jumps right on plane.

I wakeboard with the 750s in the rear a gravity games center bag 1180 lbs in center locker (I doubt is gets all the way full) and a stock 400 up in the bow. I love the wake!! its huge. I still think I need more weight up front maybe a bow bag or just people to sit up there???

The wake is nice this way but the boat is kinda hard to drive and the nose is still up a bit.
