Should my prop be in line with my rutter? If I stand at the back of the boat my prop is off to the left of my rudder. I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to be or if it is supposed to be in line or center with the rudder?

many boats are like that.

I am going to go look and see if the strut is bent and if the shaft is centered in the through hull hole. That should tell me if it is where it is supposed to be. I also may run the boat down to Active Water Sports and have them take a glance at it.

I went and looked closly at it. The strut is straight and the prop shaft is centered in the through hull hole. So I guess that's just how it sits, off to the left....

I think they have to be offset due to the rotation.

believe that's what gives the steering rudder something to "bite". if it was in the center, the thrust from the prop would just go around it.

The rudder is offset so you can remove/replace the propshaft without removing the rudder:D
