Couldn't take it any longer. I noticed all the rampant speculation about the quest for a replacement for the Outback. I did put a downer on the boat, but it isn't closed. Still, rather than keep everyone in suspense, here's a photo:

Oops, sorry. Wrong photo. Here's the real one:

I have to go out and clean the garage so here's the rundown. It's a brand new 2008 LSV. It has:

Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro
Kenwood Stereo w/ 6 speakers & amp
2 tower speakers w/ amp
water strainer
pop up cleats
stainless rub rail
docking lights
Gravity III ballast
Hydraulic wakeplate
bimini top
cockpit & tonneau covers
depth finder
single axle trailer w/ swingaway tongue
Also adding wakeboard racks

It looks so much better in person than in the washed out photos that we were shocked and fell in love with it, especially Donna. It's fossil with sandrock on top and sandrock interior. i think they actually call this "sandstone" now though.

I have to keep moving because I STOLE IT-- just kidding, it was a very fair deal for a loaded '08. Here's the only picture of it. I don't even pick it up till Thurs.:

Welcome to the "Multiple Moomba Club"!

It's like the "mile high" club, right? You just have to visit enough boat dealers.

LOOKS GOOD! Congrats!!!

Now, how many days were you boat-less??

kaneboats
03-07-2010, 11:59 PM
Thanks! (And thanks to everybody else above- we're extremely happy.)

I think it was about 48 hours. Although I still don't have the LSV yet. I think Thurs. is the delivery day. It's about 4 1/2 hours from here so I can't just stop off after work and pick it up.

Thanks, Joe. I didn't really need the "V" for me but Donna and the older kids were screaming about the space in the Outback. When you fill 3 400 lb. bags for surfing it leaves very little floor space for 8 people, even if most are kids. This should be way more comfy.

You and the family are welcome to visit and try it out any time.

To be fair, Ed, we had just gotten the Outback a few months before. It was a lot bigger than our old boat. She has really come a long way as a boater since then. When I met her she wouldn't even get in water over her head. (Now we get in boats over our head).

Thanks, bro. It's not flashy but it really feels kind of luxurious or something. That's what struck me about Ed's boat when I first saw it. It reminded me of a Eurpopean sports sedan or something. HP and comfort. I never would have taken a boat with this color package if I hadn't seen his first. I'll get some decent pics in a couple days here. Edit: I should say that seeing pix of mmandley's boat was inspiration too.

Should hide dirt and grime well too not that it will accumulate any. So does this mean you'll be pulling out every night at Sinclair to keep her shinny? :)

Was that Mr or Mrs Z that came alive last night? LOL

My boat? HUH? LOL

I know exactly your color combo. Its the Dark color Newty's boat and the light color of my boat LOL.

I bet shes really sweet looking, reading threw the list of options on that boat is set. Cant believe it didn't sell before you came around. Thats a loaded up boat man.

Now you realy got some Boat Porn of your own LOL

kaneboats
03-08-2010, 11:43 AM
No kidding. Donna asked Bob (dealer) why he still had it and his answer was, "Because we just didn't sell it." I think for a long time it was one of the more expensive ones he had. It just got to the point where he was tired of looking at it.

Four sides brick, all the hardwood I want, garbage disposal and bonus room above the garage. Your reply, "yes, dear".

Ed, you’re right "envious" is something I would never be ESPECIALLY for my friends.

AND Kaneboats is right; I didn't even go in water above my head when I met him. I remember getting sick on his uncle's boat when we were dating. Didn't puke or anything, but I was REALLY sick to my stomach.

Took a new boat to give me something to talk about again on here...

Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Even you Kane because you've been getting the baby's room ready since we got home Sunday.

YES I am talking about the boat as "baby" and the "room" was the garage. I think you could eat off the floor in there now.
10 hours will be done this weekend. We don't do anything 1/2 baked (had to clean that up for the kids).

OK, it's home. Pix in a minute.

kaneboats
03-10-2010, 11:29 PM
1. Hitched up and ready to head home.

2. Lower the nose and duck it under the door opening-- push back by hand. Turns out the height was a way bigger issue than the length. I make it by a couple of inches.

3. Like a glove- pull the door.

Thanks everybody for your assistance. I knew exactly what to do to get it in there without using any baby oil or saran wrap or anything like that.

I turned off the stereo and got out because I had to P. It was a 10 hour ordeal to drive down and pick up and head back. All safe and sound tucked into the baby's room. Only a few bugs that have to be cleaned off. I can't believe it's warm enough for bugs but this is FL. No rain the entire way so that's a plus. So now we wait for Sunday and the start of break - in.

03-11-2010, 09:45 AM

03-11-2010, 10:19 AM
Congratz bro and in those pics looks like she matching your truck pretty well.

Only complaint i really have about my setup, they don't match LOL. Just gives me more bargaining for a new truck in a couple years LOL.

Just a side note, id toss a battery charger on her till this weekend, the burn in the first few hours is a pretty slow, not a ton of charging of the batteries. Plus she been sitting so the batteries might be low.

Until this weekend get out there and polish her up, make her shine, tell her all the things you have in store for her this summer LOL.

Thats what i do anyhow, i talk to Fierah all the time when i see her lol.

I'd be willing to go as a high as a case of yours or mine to put that to the test, and as luck (for you) would have it I'll be in your neck of the woods with my boat for 2 weeks :)

Sled491
03-11-2010, 09:54 PM
Hmmm, Easter or the Tournament?

Are you talking about that camping trip that I was supposed to be in the area for? I don't think I ended up there for that, the business I had to do never happened.

This summer though is happening, I bet my 1st born on that. And I will have free time and a keen desire to try out some other lakes while there.

Funny when Ed said you were alone eating wings I found that very hard to believe. With the size of your family I doubt you get to be alone in the bathroom, much less a camping trip :)

kaneboats
03-11-2010, 10:14 PM
Hey, I was alone in the bathroom once a couple years ago. You know, that reminds me, in the next house we are definitely going to put in a second bathroom.

cbboarder
03-11-2010, 10:47 PM
When you say "next house", do you mean the lake house Mrs. Kane is buying?

Sled491
03-11-2010, 10:49 PM
I would think 3 bathrooms minimum :) Heck at the lake we have 3. One downstairs, one up stairs, and one off the deck :D

Are we the only 3 online tonight?

Sled491
03-11-2010, 10:55 PM
You know with our new 4 blade prop I aint' afraid of any boat with VD!
saw 45mph last year and she still had a little left!!!

The Grand Prix de la Sinclair is ON!!!!

That little left at the top is just to pour extra fuel into the lake :)

Sled491
03-11-2010, 11:15 PM
together we'll clean everyones clocks! Just for how much is yet to be determined.

Sled491
03-11-2010, 11:24 PM
I may need to bring my puller and my old 3 blade to keep you honest.

I'm now into rums with corks, but what ever works :)

03-11-2010, 11:32 PM

I'm afraid my horse has moved on to greener pastures. The prime beef I'm stocking now ain't into racing. However, I am willing to serve as a judge of both the speed contest and the corked rum.

Holy Crap!!!! BOB WELLS! He must be raised from the dead!!! No, I know for a fact he's been busy saving souls himself and hasn't had time for us. BOB, I hope you know that you and of course your son who is more ready than any of us for the pull from this boat are welcome any and every time. You tell me when and I'll be there. OK.? Glad you're back on here.

No, they have the DD loaded up though. No back seat. I think that particular pic is behind Stacy's LSV though. It was from the first Flint River Jam in '08.
