There is a thread out there about the usefulness of docking lights and how they do come in handy when used as intended. There was also a thread about the Axis boats.

I was killin' some time today and ran across something I thought some may find interesting. You can get an optional trailer for your Axis boat that has runway lights.

check out the other options they offer. some are pretty neat.

You think it comes with the little flash lights to guide you in?

You can get those runway lights straight off of Boatmates website. I am thinking about getting them myself. The only thing I need to look into is if it comes with a floater switch to activate them. I know the Axis has a floater switch on it but i don't know if Axis/Malibu put it on there or Boatmate did. Here is the link for them. Let me know what you guys think. Not a bad deal for $135 IMO...

that's a cool idea but why would you need them when the trailer's red marker lights already act as runway lights as seen in the above picture.

It does help a little esp if you use the white ones, but really its just for looks.

I can build you some waterproof flexable led strips that are alot nicer than those for about the same price. They attach with 3m double sided tape. You can put them inside the boat to light up the inside as well, or run them along the trailer and tap into your parking lights. I can do Blue, Red, UV, Purple, Warm White, Neutral White, Pink, Amber, and Green. I can do them in a side emitting led and can special order different backings. The backings behind the led lights can be black, white, or copper(which looks kinda yellow) For example: if you wanted to light up the walk through between the windshield and you have a black boat you wouldnt want a white or copper backing because it would stand out, the black backing would blend a little better. Prices really depend on what you want.
