I just got a new XLV. It has two speedometers. I asked the dealer why and they didn't seem to know. Did they forget a gauge or something? Does anyone else know?

Thanks,

P

the speedometer on the left shows the speed of the left side of the boat. the speedometer on the right shows the speed of the right side of the boat. This comes in useful when pulling wakeboarders or skiiers around turns so you can control the speed they are going.

Jrod06,

You're kidding right !!!!!??

Both speedometers are fed from one paddlewheel.

To be considered a competition ski/wakeboard boat by AWSA standards, 2 speedos are required in case one fails during a tourny. Hope this helps. Brian Raymond

Brian is correct.

However if you use a GPS to set them, you'll see one speedometer, set accurately at skiing speeds, will be off by a few miles per hour, at wakeboarding speeds and vice versa.

So borrow a GPS from a friend, and set one for skiing speeds and the other for wakeboarding speeds

Lastly don't buy another thing from THAT dealer if they couldn't tell you the simple answer that Brain furnished.
