balast question---not boat balast

ok the shop light in the garage has been flickering and now is out-is this the ballast that is out and how do you fix it.

Turn the power off at the circuit breaker or unplug it if that option is available and either replace the ballast or replace the lighting fixture whatever is the cheapest or more convienient. Enjoy.

its easy to change the ballast but make sure its not a (or one of the bulbs). like zabooda said sometimes its easier just to buy a whole new unit depending on what kind it is. Bulbs will flicker sometimes before they go

Ess you already went to HD and have your stuff. I have replaced the old balast with the new smallr tubes I don't know what they are called. Was just as easy as changing the fixture and was cheaper. Just depends on what HD is currently selling cheap.

So what did you do? Isn't razz an electric guy?
