View Full Version : Connecting to original fat sacs?

I picked up an original 750lb Fat Sac (50x20 round) that has two ports on the top and one on the bottom of one end. But they are all male threads on the sac and then caps. Any ideas what fittings I need to hook this thing up to a pump?

If its like the old watebed fittings I would buy the w735 but I would take off the spinning female thread and hose clamp the bag to the blue fitting if your going to use them for more of a more perminent use don't rely on the threads to hold them together. They are soft and tend to leak and pop off. I did that with some old sacs and it keeps them from leaking.

So the blue end goes in the bag and then threads in place? What's on the other end? Thanks for your help!

Yea exactly, but take the spinning part off that threads to the sack and put a hose clamp on it.
Thats a flyhigh fitting but you really don't need that.
Just add a hose barb by standard hose thread adapter and you good to go.
Check here for the part. Item #0315 hose adapter, way cheaper.

Are you permanently connecting the bag to an automated system, or manually filling and draining it using a ballast pump?

I'll probably just fill it manually for surfing for now. I sent you a PM regarding building a Tsunami pump for it for now. My thought was that I'd have a way to fill the bag for now, but later when I scrap the sprinkler system and redo the pumps in my boat I'd already have one of the Tsunami pumps.

Sounds like a good plan, I replied to your PM, let me know if you have any questions.
